Sail Martha's Vineyard Winter Lectures Series

The Black Dog Winter Dinner and Lecture Series has been part community outreach and part fundraiser for Sail MV. The warm atmosphere at the Black Dog along with a delicious dinner and an interesting maritime presentation has given all who have attended an enjoyable winter evening.  The 2009 series brought such interesting speakers as Rob Douglas on “Breaking the  World Speed Sailing Record”, Dr. Kara Lavender Law from SEA on “ The Effect of Plastic Debris in the Ocean” and Dr. Michael Jacobs on “Managing Sickness at Sea.”

We look forward to continuing this great tradition in the winter of 2011.
