Martha's Vineyard Regional High School
Varsity Sailing Team

MVRHS Sailing Team started as a club sport in 1995 and became a varsity sport in 2000. Determined to keep kids sailing in the off season, the Fall and Spring HS program has brought students to the next level of sailing and created many marine opportunities for the Island's youth. It is also one of the few sports that is Title IX, where girls and boys compete equally.

Almost 100% of the HS sailors have graduated high school and have gone on to college. Most have gone into a marine related major or have sailed in college. Many have pursued a career in the marine industry and have given back to the Vineyard maritime community. Sail MV's high school program is a springboard to students becoming mariners.
